Shield Security staff are licenced to ensure that we meet certain standards. We are licenced to SIA standards.
What is SIA Licensing?
SIA licensing covers manned guarding (including security guarding , door supervision , close protection , cash and valuables in transit , and public space surveillance using CCTV ), key holding and vehicle immobilising . SIA Licensing ensures that private security operatives are ‘fit and proper’ persons who are properly trained and qualified to do their job.
British Safety Standards
BS 7858:2006 Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment. Code of practice BS 7858:2006 is a code of practice that gives recommendations for the security screening of individuals to be employed in an environment where the security and safety of people, goods or property is a requirement of the employing organization’s operations and/or where such security screening is in the public interest.
